Want to Be A Grant Writer? Act On It!

One of the greatest discoveries that I've made in life is realizing that I didn't have to let things happen to me but that I was able to take matters into my OWN hands!

WOW!

Yes, I discovered that life would GO IN THE DIRECTION that I chose for it to go IF I did ONE THING… yes, one thing.

I'll tell you more about that one thing in just a second, but for now let me tell you about a young lady name, Laura Stevens (name has been changed to protect her identity).

Laura recently approached me because she wanted to take matters into her own hands. She was sick and tired of working a job that was going nowhere and she felt like she was just existing.

• She was doing a lot of what she really didn't want to do it all.
• She wanted to be a grant writer… BUT there was one BIG PROBLEM.
• She did not know how to write a grant.

Laura asked me for help.

Normally my busy schedule does not afford me the time nor the opportunity to talk to every individual one-on-one much about ways to launch a career into grant writing.

These days, I’m normally speaking at conferences, workshops, and online.

Most of my one-on-one conversations are reserved for a small handful of clients that pay me a handsome fee for my time and expertise.

However, Laura had me cornered because I was now seated next to her on the airplane!

There was no escaping this one unless I fail asleep quickly.

She asked me 101 questions… and I obliged her by answering as many as I could.

She had looked into learning grant writing a number of times but never went much farther than that.

So what were the results of her lack of action?

She settled for going to a job day by day that was going nowhere and thus she started falling into depression.

I hate depression.

I know what it feels like to be down on your luck.

I know what it feels like to do something that you really don't want to do.

I know what it feels like to work in a place that you do not want to be.

I shared with Laura the ONE-KEY thing she would need to do to change her fate.
It is the same thing that you will need to do change your fate.

 It is the same thing that I spoke of earlier that I promised you that I would share with you. Are you ready?

No, seriously, are you ready?

A lot of people never move forward because they are not ready.

They want to be ready… or at least they kid themselves into thinking they do.

But most really are not ready.

Here is the one thing that you can do that Laura did to change her fate...

DECIDED!

Yes, make a decision and decide.

Decide what's going to be and take decisive action to make it happen.

3. You've got to take action to get what you want

When you do so you'll find that you're happy because you're on the road to accomplishing your goals and this makes one happy.
