Hello and welcome to the Schools Winning Grants show.
I'm your host, Rodney Walker, and I'm excited to be
with you one more time to share more information with
you about the show that is soon to be coming.
It seems like we're already here, right?
Well, technically, you and I are already
here, but the show itself, well, it's
still in the oven and it's coming.
I promise you it's coming.
But for right now, we're just getting started.
We're just getting warmed up, and pretty soon we're
going to be fully charged up and gone.
I mean, like, taking off.
Why this show?
I know you probably asked, like, Rodney, what
is the deal with this show over here?
Well, this show is exclusively for educators.
It's the show designed for those schools, those
districts and those educational institutions that are trying
to raise funds, raise more grants.
And I'm going to be sharing with you some information
to help you do a more effective job of that.
In fact, I'm going to help
you to become more efficient.
Exactly.
We have a great time.
And I want you to know a little bit more about
why this show, and in particular on this show, I'm going
to be sharing with you why every single principle that's out
there actually needs to be dialed in to what I'm saying.
Yes, every single one needs to be dialed in.
Let me tell you why.
I know that's what you want.
Like, Rodney, why? Why should my principal or if you
are the principal, why should you be dialed in?
Well, it really boils down to a couple of
things principals should really be dialed in to the show
because I'm going to be sharing with you some
information, and that information is going to spark some
ideas of some things that you're not currently doing
and some of the things that you're currently doing
you probably shouldn't be doing.
And some of the things that you
should be doing, you're not doing.
And so as you hear the insight, Mr. Principal or Mrs.
Principal, it's going to help you to take
some different courses of action so that you
can bring in more funds to your school.
And that makes you Mr. Principal or Mrs.
Principal looked like a rock star, and I
want to help you to do that.
I want you to be a rock star in your
space, because what happens when your school begins to pull
in and snag these grants and all the other schools
are looking around and saying, like, what is she doing?
How does she do that?
Well, you can keep this secret a secret. That's okay.
I'll be your secret weapon.
I'm happy to do so.
But that's one of the reasons
why you should definitely dial in.
The other reason is as you dial in Mr. And Mrs.
Principal, you then can go back and begin
to rally a team of other educators at
your school that know that they need more
resources know that they're currently being underfunded, but
are really desiring to bring in more funds.
How many more car washes are we going to do?
How many Bake sales are we going to have?
Nothing is wrong with those. Okay.
It's okay to do those.
But wouldn't it be better if you could simply write
down some things on some paper or type it on
your computer or use your ideas and put those into
a program and be able to get funded?
That's what this show is going to
help you to do more of.
And I'm going to be sharing with you some best
practices to help you do a more effective job.
So that's another reason, first of all, why you
should really be dialed in and hopefully subscribe to
this show so that you can listen to it
and get some inspiration and get some insight that's
going to help to bring in funds.
Now let me tell you another couple of
reasons why that you should really be dialed in
to the show and listening in carefully.
There are so many schools that could
raise a lot more grant funding.
However, they don't have the buy in
and the support from the top.
And that's a major problem because now you have
some teacher who is reaching into their pocket.
And the last time I looked, the average teacher was spending
about 750 some odd dollars out of their own pockets to
help fund the things taking place in the schools.
Now, I don't believe that our teachers are being
paid so much money that they just have money
laying around to be reaching into their own pockets.
It shows that they have big hearts.
And I salute all of you teachers. I just love you.
You guys are great.
However, we should be using other resources from foundations
and from federal funds to help fund our schools.
And with that being the case, I'm going to be
helping you, Principal, to rally your troops so that they
can go after more funds to help your school.
There should be some more field trips taking place.
Some of you have Stem programs,
some of you have Steam programs.
And we've got to bring in resources to help
those students get inspired and to channel some of
those resources so that they can begin to do
a more effective job in the classroom and helping
the students to want to learn even more.
So that's what this is all about. And Mr. And Mrs.
Principal, that's why I'm encouraging you
to make sure right now.
Yes, not tomorrow.
Right now, just go ahead and hit that subscribe.
If you go to Apple Podcast or Google Podcast
or even Spotify, or YouTube, you can subscribe
to the show on any one of those platforms.
In fact, you might want to do it more than once.
And if you do YouTube, make sure that you hit
that little ring button that will give you a chime
every time a new show is released my goal is
to release these on a regular basis to help you
because I really want to see you win and your
school is at a place where it needs additional funds
and additional support and that's what we're going to do.
So when we come back and hook up on some
of the other shows in some of the real episodes
because right now I haven't even launched the show yet.
Right now this is just bonus I'm just getting a
chance for the two of us to get a chance
to know each other a little bit better and then
the show is going to release and each week I'm
going to be sharing with you some new information that's
going to help you and pointing you to some resources.
Sometimes it will be a template, sometimes it'll be a
sample, sometimes I'll be shining a light on a school
who you don't know about that's doing an exceptional job
of getting funded and we want to look and see
what they're doing because remember success leaves clues. We want to
know what are they doing so that maybe you and
your school can incorporate some of those cool things into
your school's grant development plans.
How does that sound?
I know it sounds great.
I hope that you'll be inspired and come back and hang out with
me until we get a chance to hang out again, my friend I
want you to be brave I want you to be bold.
Yes I want you to be brilliant.
Take charge and I'll connect with you soon.
