This is Rodney Walker.
It's time for me to be on
for the Get Funded with Rodney show.
I'm so glad that you're here on the day.
We're going to have a great time.
And I've got some stuff for you today. Yes.
I'm going to be talking to you today about
three things, not two, not one, but three things
that you should stop doing right now.
If you really want to grow your Grant business, you
may say "Rodney, I don't have a Grant business."
I've got three things for you that
you should stop even thinking about doing.
If you're thinking about ever starting a Grant

I'm going to be sharing with you some tips to help you.

So I want you to fasten your seatbelt, get

One thing that you probably don't know that

as an entrepreneur, I am a serial entrepreneur.
Now, I know you just start after hearing me say
cereal, you're probably thinking, you're probably thinking,
"he said, he's a serial. He serial."
As an entrepreneur, no, I said I am a
serial entrepreneur, which means that I enjoy developing businesses.
That's fun for me.
And I enjoy getting a chance to come
alongside of those who are seeking to do
it to help them to navigate those waters.
So my first business here's, my first business
that I ever started, I never forget.
I was back in College going to the University of Texas.
Yes.
Hook 'em Horns!
But I was going to College and
I started a carpet cleaning business.
The very first business I had
was called Cornerstone Carpet Cleaning Business.
And I was up in those apartments with my little
dry clean, and I was cleaning some carpets and I
was making some money and I was loving it.
I was like, I'm my own boss around here.
And you thought I was the President
of the White House or something.
I was taking that little machine and just working it.
And it was my first gig, but I loved it.
And it was fun because there was a
sense of ownership, a sense of pride, and
I just loved being an entrepreneur.
Some of you, I know, want to become one.
I want to encourage you in that it is hard
work, but it's lovely because you are the owner.
Now, with that being said, I still got to take you
to that IQ boost because we're trying to grow that IQ.
We want that IQ to keep growing and growing.

But on today, I want to be sharing with you
those three things that you should stop doing right now
if you want to grow your Grant business.
And the first thing that I want to
encourage you to do is to stop.
Yes, I said it.
Stop doing what's not working.
Now, I know that I know that may
sound elementary, but you won't believe how many
times I and others have done things and
kept doing things that have not been working.
That means you got to do an assessment of
yourself so that you can hit the pause or
stop button, so that you can completely stop doing
those things that are not working and start focusing
on those things that are working.
Those things that will work.
Now, the second thing you got to do is also you've
got to stop believing that things have to remain the same.
Sometimes you get so stuck and you think, "Hey, this
is the way it has to be, and I'm just
going to keep on doing what I've been always doing."
No, we're going to stop that.
Now let me give you the third
thing that you want to stop doing.
I want you to stop expecting
things to change on its own.
Now, this is where you have to take 100%
responsibility for your success or the lack thereof.
This calls for you to put your
big boy or big girl bridges on. All right.
And take ownership for everything
that happens with your business.
Now with that being said, let me tell you this.
You can do it and you can begin
to bring some changes in your business.
And I know it can happen because I've seen
it happen with my business and countless others.
And if you'll take ownership, my friend you'll be surprised
at some of the great things that can happen.
