Get Funded with Rodney
Hello, and welcome to the Get Funded with Rodney show.
I'm your host, Rodney Walker, and
I'm excited that you're here.
How are you doing?
I'm doing great, and I hope that you're doing great.
We've got a great show for you on
today, something to give you that extra boost.
And on today's show, I'm going to be sharing with you
what you need to know before becoming a Grant writer.
Yes, not afterwards, but before
you become a Grant writer. I'm also going to be sharing
with you that inspirational boost.
You know, that IQ quote, that quote that helps
you to get some mojo in your jo.
And I'm also going to be sharing with you
a little bit more about me that you don't
know, that you absolutely, positively must know.
All right, we're going to have a great time.
I want you to sit back and relax
because you got to let your hair down.
And if you've ever seen my hairstyle, you
know that I've definitely let my hair down.
And I want you to let your hair down.
Well, not quite the way I let my hair down.
I want you to just chill out for just a
few minutes and open your mind up to some bright
ideas, because I've got something to help you to win.
Yes, I want to see you win, my friend.
It's time for you to win.
So with that being said, let me share with
you something that will help you to win.
When I share this with you, you're going to say, "Rodney,
that makes so much sense." Why?
Because life is so short.
We want to get the most out of it.
We don't want to waste time.
We want to become better.
Don't you want to become better?
I know I want to become better, because if
you're not becoming better, that means you're becoming worse.
And we don't want you becoming worse.
No, there's no such thing as neutral.
There's no neutral here.
Did you hear me?
I said there's no neutral here.
It's either you're going backwards
or you're going forward.
And my friend, I want to see you
go forward because that's what life is about.
It's about growing.
It's about getting better.
It's about moving forward.
So I want you to go forward.
And as you go forward on today, that one thing I
want you to know about me that you don't know.
One of my favorite ways to relax.
Yes, I'm about to share it
One of the ways I love to relax
is I enjoy going to the spa.
Yes, I sit and I go to the spa and I'll chill out.
And I will relax.
And I would just get away from everybody.
Yes, sometimes you just got to get
away from everybody one last time.
You just got away from everybody
and just went and chilled.
I like to go into the dry sauna and I'll
sit there and thaw me some ice on my head
with a little towel and it just chill.
So my encouragement for you today is find some ways
that you like to chill, because if you don't chill,
then you might be taking some days off your life.
And you don't want to do that.
We want you to be around for a long time because you
got so many people that are waiting for you to help them.
Alright?
So that's one thing that you don't know about me
that I want you to know about me on today.
With that being said, let me take
you to the IQ booster. Today's
IQ booster is being brought to you by iGrantwriters.com.

Now for our quote for
today, opportunities don't happen.
You create them.
And that comes from Chris Grosser. Yes.
And I love that quote because we shouldn't wait.
We shouldn't wait. Did you hear me?
Get Funded with Rodney
Yes, we should be taking off.
We should be blasting off,
not waiting for opportunities.
We don't create opportunities.
That's why I have in one of
my wonderful Believe CD, I have something
that says "I create my own opportunities."
or "I really create my own miracles."
I am that opportunity. I'm creating it.
I'm going to encourage you today, my
friend, to go create make some opportunities.
With that being said, let's get ready to
dive into our points for the day today.
I promise you that I'm going to be sharing with you
what you need to know before you become a Grant writer.
Now what is that?
What do you need to know
before you become a Grant writer?
I know some of you are on the fence right
now and say, "Hey, I'm thinking about becoming a Grant writer?"
Well, here's some things, my friend, that you absolutely,
positively want to know before you become one. Okay?
It's really simple.
The first thing you want to know is
what in the heck is a Grant writer?
So what is a Grant writer and what do they do?
You want to explore this and get a feel for it, because
this may not be something you want to do or you might
find it, "Wow, this is exactly what I want to do."
So take some time to look at it, see what it is.
Look at some videos online.
I got several of them on YouTube.
Go check some of those out.
There are other people as well. Go ask them. Find out.
Secondly, the skill there's a skill that
you want to get the skills required
to become a successful Grant writer.
You want to know what those are?
What are those skills that you should
be putting in your Arsenal right now?
I'll tell you a couple of them really quickly. Research.
You want to become a good researcher.
You want to Hone your skills as a writer.
You also want to Hone your skills
at knowing how to put together projects.
And that's all the time.
I can tell you about that right now because I got some
other points I want to make sure I share with you.
The third thing, the steps involved
in becoming a Grant writer.
You want to know what's the steps if you want to become
one, how do I get there without wasting a lot of time?
The fourth thing, my friend, that you want to do.
You also want to know how to find
Grants that are the best fit for organizations.
Every Grant is not a good fit for every organization.
Just like every shoe that you put on your foot,
it's not one that should be placed on your foot.
If you wear a size ten or size eight, if you
wear a size eight and you go around and you put
on some size sixes, my friend, that doesn't fit you.
Okay.
And it's the same way with Grants as well.
So you want to know about that.
Another thing you want to know is fifth.
You want to know some tips for being
able to write Grant proposals effectively.
So you want to make sure you have those in
your Arsenal as well before you become a Grant writer.
And also, my friend, you want to know
how to follow up with those potential Grant
opportunities that you're going to be submitting.
Those are some things you want to be
learning as you go along the way.
And there are so many ways that you can
learn, my friend, there are classes that are online.
There are classes that you can go to in person.
There are community colleges that
are teaching Grant writing classes.
I have online Grant writing classes.
I have some friends that have
some dynamic Grant writing class.
There are so many different ways to learn.
The main thing, my friend, is that you
begin to open up your mind and learn.
Did you hear me?
That's you literally creating your own opportunities.
And if you're interested in becoming a Grant
writer, my friend, I want to point you
I want to tell you right now, remember,
we have some Grant writing apprenticeship opportunities.
Now, I'll be honest with you,
these are not for everyone.
These are for people who are really,
really serious, looking at diving in.
I want to share with you one person
that you can go and check out. Here's a case study.
In fact, if you will go over.
Do you have your pen ready?
Go get that pen really quick and write this down. Okay?
If you'll go over to get getfundedwithrodney.com, that's
going to take you over to our YouTube
channel that is flooded with videos.
And there are some people that you'll see there.
If you just scroll down, you'll see some playlists
and you'll see she did it or he did it
look for the one with my friend Brooke.
Brook Woods came to me.
She was looking to write Grant proposals.
She didn't know a thing about writing Grant proposals.
And she was going through a really challenging
time, actually, she was going through divorce.
She talked about this in that video.
It's a case study that I want you to go
check out because I believe it will encourage you.
She was talking about how she was going through this
low period, but she came we started working with her.
She learned all those things I just told you about.
And then she went through a training and then before
you know it, she's like, "Hey, I need to get
a job and I need to get a job quickly
because I don't want to do another job. I was doing."
So we helped her to learn what she needed to do
to become a Grant writer and to land a job.
Long story short, she landed that job
in a relatively short time, my friend.
And if she did it, I want to let you
know that you too can do it as well.
Yes, I'm cheering for you.
Yes, I believe in you.
Yes, I know that you can do it.
So let's take off and let's
make the magic happen, my friend.
So here's what I want to let you know.
If you'll go over to grantcentralUSA.com
and go to our store.
Did you know we had a store?
Let's go shopping.
Let's just go shopping right now
and let's go into the store.
If you go to the store, look for the resource called
Becoming a Grant Writer and Getting a Job in 60 Days.
It's possible, my friend.
I know it's possible.
I've helped others to do it.
I know that you can do it.
And if you're interested in transitioning to becoming
a Grant writer, even if you don't know
how to Grant writing now, that is fixable. We can help you.
So go check it out.
And remember to make sure that you tune in to our show.
That's going to be coming
out real soon, actually, tomorrow.
Go check this one out.
It's going to be called How to
Turn a Grant Proposal into a Winner.
Yes, I'm going to help that done.
You know, that proposal that was sinking?
Yeah, that one that was drowning.
I'm going to come and help you to resuscitate it.
And we're going to turn that Grant proposal around.
And guess what we're going to do?
We're going to make that Grant proposal a winner. Enough of losing.
It's time to turn that Grant
proposal to a winner, my friend.
So I want to encourage you, make sure that
you come back tomorrow and listen to that podcast.
It's going to help you.
We're going to resuscitate it.
Come on, let me call 911 right now.
Let's hope this proposal to win.
So that you can get that money that you need.
I'm so excited that you're here. Remember?
To be brave, my friend. To be bold.
I want you to be brilliant.
And yes, I want you to take charge.
Great nation.
I'm out of here.
